Male transported to Phelps Memorial Health Center for illness.


911 Hang-Up

Male transported to PMHC via PMHC ALS unit for personal injury after two 911 hang-up calls were made and an officer made contact with the subject.

Loud noise from a residence. Officer made contact with the owner and advised to keep the noise down or garage door closed to not disturb the neighbors.


Odor: Natural Gas

1500 Block Burlington St

Gas smell in business. Officers, members of the fire department, and Black Hills Energy were contacted to investigate.

Dog reported missing from a residence. The owner called back and reported that the dog returned home.

A family member wanted an induvial checked on. No action was taken, the reporting party called back and advised everything was fine.

Request for an officer to assist in getting a cat back from a neighbor.

Report of a semi all over the road. Officer made contact and everything was ok, the driver was just tired.

A vehicle slowly driving threw car lot. Officer made contact and was advised that they were just car shopping.

Report of a small black dog running at large officer impounded dog. The owner later paid fines and fees and the dog was released.

A complaint of a cat hanging out at a business. The cat was not currently at the location. RP was advised to call if the cat returned so it could be caught and removed.

Suspicious text message regarding a gift from Amazon, asking the recipient of text message to click a link. Possible scam

Request to assist Black Hills energy into a closed business to check for a gas leak. Officer assisted and everything was fine.

Items that were reported stolen were advertised on Facebook. Items were reported stolen in Bertrand information turned over to Phelps County Sheriff’s office.

A missing juvenile from Harlan County was reported to be in Holdrege with friends. Officer made contact with a parent of the friends, the missing juvenile was not with the friends as they were out of state.


Suspicious Person

700 Block 5th Ave

Officer saw a female outside the windows of the Phelps County Justice Center. Deputy cited female for loitering at a penal institution.
